I so wanted to like it, but got to admit I found TB’s negativity grating and the constant harking back to the glory days a bit much after a while. Also the fact that Terry and Russell seemed to find KM’s playing out from the back so difficult to fully get behind. |
It would be nice if they reflected a bit on what worked and what didn't. There have been some great moments on the show. I find Mark Murphy's pantomime stick incredibly annoying. Terry comes across as a bore and a bully at times. Phil was underused and mocked, which seems unfair as Phil isn't able to or doesn't want to give it back as good as it's given.
The keepie uppie challenge is very dull and would have worked better as a one off challenge.
I still think Life's a Pitch is still worth a watch, I just hope that they improve on things by toning things down. I don't know how they will replace Phil though. |  | | |

I saw a couple of episodes, largely because they were top tier guests for me and my interests, but the fact I only watched about 10% of the shows probably tells me something about how much I enjoyed it.
Can't really put my finger on it but there's always been something that just doesn't compel me to want to watch it. That sounds sarcastic and I don't mean it to, there genuinely is something I can't put my finger on as a lot of the ingredients 'on paper' are there for a really watchable show for Town fans like myself, it just doesn't really work for me though. |  | | |

I would say that Phil was also a poor fit for this format as it's very blokey, and with the greatest respect and love to Phil he is more of a "modern man".
I did see Phil visibly cringe on the live show when Alan Brazil was telling some of his more risque tales. |  |
