I've pootled along to sit in the away end.
FCSP grew into the game and look very good. They play a very similar style of football to Town.
Norwich, on the other hand, faded as soon as FCSP got a foothold after about 10mins. No real quality save for Rowe and Sargent, and they're only really getting joy because of their pace.
Fun day out - good number of FCSP fans here, the majority having come from the various UK fan clubs.
Stewarding as inept as ever, though... Going around the stand about 20mins before kickoff trying to get people to sit down. [Post edited 3 Aug 2024 15:56]

...their defence is hopeless.
They are still relying on old gits Hanley and McLean, the new full back they bought is already injured and Sara is leaving.
The only decent attacker they've got is Rowe, he'll possibly leave too and the ginger yank bloke is always injured.
They have no parachute money anymore and the owners are either senile or more interested in other "projects".
They do have a regional airport though. | |

I don't care how Norwich do in the coming season as long as Ipswich stay up. It would actually be quite fun to have them in the Premier League. By then, we would probably built up a solid Premier League squad and it would be very tough for them. I'd expect Luton, Burnley, and Leeds to get promoted. It is so hard to take one of those places away from the teams with all the money. | | | |

Is Rowe any good then? Aside from being in the right place to out the ball in the net when the officials can't spot an infringement?

They won the second half.
Pre-season results often don't dictate how a club will do. I'd fully expect Norwich to be in the mix by the end of the season (3rd-6th). Anything else and they should really get a new manager; as they've retained a vast amount of their expensive squad. | | | |

I honestly think we should worry about ourselves rather than laugh at others!
If the club don't get quite a few more good experienced players in we are going to struggle with what we have at the moment!

You sound like you worry too much. If we can't laugh at our rivals when we are Premier League and they are showing signs of impending trouible in the league below us, when can we chuckle at them? Don't take life so seriously mate.
On your point about our club, don't worry about the first 2 games, those 2 teams are in a different league to us. We need to compartmentalise any feelings we feel towards results against those teams. The management will know this and will be tellng our team not to read anything in to results against them. Our boys just need to go out there and enjoy themselves, if we get a decent result then that's a bonus, if not shrug it off and worry about getting results against the teams we're competing with. It would be handy to have new faces in the door for these two games but not the end of the world if we don't. [Post edited 4 Aug 2024 13:36]
