Yeah, yeah, but.... on 15:50 - Aug 8 by Leaky | They changed the system last season to what we have now so didn't goto as many games last season plus they dropped league 1 points from your total so I went from 30+ points 20+ you have to work the system as if you drop out of the top tier you will struggle to get back in |
But if you stopped going to as many games, that's not the club's fault? I was in the third tier when the Man C tickets went on sale, and got my ticket yesterday, which has put me back in the second (now on 25 points).

Which supports my whole closed shop argument because not only have you got tickets for a prestigious game but its also cemented your ability to get further tickets.

fastest finger first…. on 15:44 - Aug 8 by nodge_blue | Why would you be extremely annoyed at giving up two away games a year so that others could share in the experience of visiting a premier league ground? isn't 17 enough? |
No 17 is not enough. I want to go to every game. It's what I live for. I did the hard yards, going home and away during the Keane/Jewell/McCarthy/Hurst/Lambert eras because I love the club, and hoped that 1 day my loyalty would be rewarded, and I'd see us back in the Premier League, and potentially Europe. To be completely honest with you, I don't care about other fans wishes to just want to attend a couple of away games so they can share the PL experience. All I care about is being able to get a ticket for myself, so I can continue doing what I've done for the past 15 years every week.

Im not sure on this ive done the hard yards stuff. It sounds like supporting your team has been a total sufferance. And ive been doing it for alot more than 15 years. How about we all support our team from the person getting their first tickets to the ones who have bought season tickets through the less glamorous times. I dont get this need to have it all.

Haha yes of course it is. It’s not complicated is it,those who put the effort in get rewarded as they have the most points. Then you get those who have 19 points and they needed 20 or something

When you travel to Burnley on a Tuesday night expecting a half decent performance, and lose 4-0, or you go to Barrow on a Wednesday night and lose 2-0, you question whether it was worth it. But then you go to Bolton away and witness a last minute winner from Michael Chopra to get a 2-1 victory, and it gives you so much joy. The issue you have is with the system the club has in place regarding Memberships, not with the fans that go week in, week out. But as I said previously, you must have been aware of the points system last year, so it's your own fault if you thought you'd be able to get away tickets on points only equating to the amount of away games you went to last season.

Stop arguing with him. People have been reasonable to him all day and his only rebuttal has been ‘BUT I WANT TO GO!!’ like an angry toddler.

Yes, because I have been to enough games to earn the points. I’ve spent the time and money to do so.

If you're lucky enough to be successful in the ballot once or twice, then you'll be happy right? Unless it's only certain games you're interested in. I can also understand that people aren't too sad about someone who only went to two games in our League One promotion season not being able to get a ticket at the first time of asking.

fastest finger first…. on 20:26 - Aug 8 with 1202 views | skinnybob72 | The one thing that Man City away has shown is that there is clearly an increased demand simply because we are in the PL. 3k allocations last season - in the north half of the country anyway - went to public sale on numerous occasions. Today saw them gone in the 15+ category, which given 10 points for 2 memberships means 5-9 games last season. That's actually a pretty low threshold IMO. However, I do wonder how many tickets will be bought by upper tier members for games they can't attend, simply in order to 'keep ahead'?

fastest finger first…. on 13:03 - Aug 8 by nodge_blue | I do deny it. As Ive said anyway who is a season ticket holder or spent money getting an away membership, should have a guarantee of at least one away match. Or what's the point of the away membership at £30? I probably would have had 16 points if I had bought the poxy away membership and not used my season ticket priority instead. People who go regularly away should feel that they could miss a few games for the greater good of the wider fanbase. |
You appeared to understand the system a year ago - but decided it was "worthless" Southampton away by nodge_blue 13 Jul 2023 12:06Id pencilled in this game. What do people reckon my chances are of getting tickets?
Ive got two season tickets. If I bought the membership it seems worthless as I only went to two away games last year and I'll have next to no points.
3000 tickets allocated.
I was trying to plan work holidays with the mate I go with but Im wondering if all will go before I get a chance to try and buy.

Oh wow. I had decided to move on from this debate but now ive got someone trawling back over my posts. I dont know what your point is really. I said that i used my season ticket priority last year and in that respect getting membership last year was worthless as it didnt stop me going away. This year is a different story as now it appears i will at best be relying on a ballot for 69 tickets. I have no wish to keep debating this. I guess today was a wake up call to that. I have been a bit fed up and vented about it. Ive made some points. Lets move on.

I get your points, I just think it's something you gambled on last year and now it hasn't paid off you're angry at the system. For what it's worth - I have 12 points yet have the exact same chance it would seem of getting an away ticket as you do. I just think it's a bit unedifying to complain about the system only when you lose out.

The top clubs are always going to in high demand to be fair…. City and Liverpool may be in the north, but are going to sell very quickly. Perhaps not Man U quite so much as it’s an evening game and we’ve played there relatively recently. Well, 9 years ago anyway.

fastest finger first…. on 21:26 - Aug 8 with 997 views | ITFCed | The worst thing today is the consistency of the system, why were some people able to get to the tickets straight away and why were some put in a queue? They need to sort this asap
