KM hasn't really waivered from this, he's on record (though I can't find the link at the moment) as saying he really wants people to bed in and train and understand our approach and patterns before getting game time.

I can only remember him saying that about Broadhead specifically (and that was more about off the pitch factors rather than learning the style of play).
Loads of players have played having only signed very recently - Davis started the first game he could after signing despite having just flown back from Australia, Hirst came off the bench against Plymouth having joined on loan in the week, Moore and Al-Hamadi similarly against Preston last season, more recently Szmodics came on against Liverpool having signed the day before etc. |  |

In fairness, Moore and Al-Hamidi came on against Preston because we were in an utter mess and had nothing to lose. | |
