At least I won't have to watch us play on sh*tty Sky Sports+ again this season! on 22:34 - Aug 28 with 1598 views | ITFC_Forever | I thought it was a massive improvement vs the red button coverage from last season. Clearer picture, replays and more than one camera angle.

Those aspects were definitely an improvement but the constant freezing was infuriating!

It was a bit ‘half a loaf’ with the freezing but it was better than nothing as you say.

Agreed that at least I could watch it but boy did it freeze a lot. I had to turn twtd off as it was five minutes ahead and the forum was giving away what was about to happen before I had seen it.

Think the freezing must differ with certain people / areas? I didn't really have any freezing tonight. I watched Sky Sports + on the opening EFL Saturday and had to switch it off the freezing was so bad. When I looked at other games, in the first half, they were all over the place time wise over a 5 minute period, I guess each game had different length freezes

Got to be area and your Internet speeds. I had perfect coverage with 0 lags the whole game. Do we know if town games would be on sky plus for non Sat 3pm kickoffs?

I have gigabit internet and my Virgin box is wired to my network. It's definitely not cause by my internet speeds. I'm interested in how people are watching, I have noticed most that have said they haven't had any freezing have been using Now TV. I'm wondering if this is affecting those that stream through their Sky/Virgin set-top box. [Post edited 29 Aug 2024 7:44]

I watched via now and a roku box. No freezing, just a slight judder once. However, it started two minutes behind live action and stayed that way. Sound mix was also atrocious. Plenty of stadium noise and could hardly hear the commentary.

I watched through my Virgin box and it was fine - no freezing whatsoever. The picture quality wasn't great i.e. not HD but it was better than not watching it and definitely better than iFollow was. [Post edited 29 Aug 2024 7:28]

It's odd how differing peoples experience of it is. I only had one point where the picture quality degraded to the point it looked like it was being filmed on a potato, the rest of the time the picture quality was great. The sound quality was fine for me too other than when I first started the steam, this was about 4-5 minutes before kickoff and was fine by the time the game did kickoff though. If the freezing could be sorted I think it would be cracking and I guess with this being in it's infancy it needs to be given time for sky to iron out the kinks. Hopefully by the time we're on one of Sky Sports+ streams again this will be working better for all.

Sky Q box. No issues with freezing other than momentarily a few times. One replay was odd where they showed it being rewound etc but that must have been their editing. A couple of times where quality went to the degree you could see a trail from the ball. Clearly not the same quality you get from the editing on main coverage matches but it was fine to watch.
