I really don’t think he intended to fall down to the lower tier.

I really don't think intention is a necessary element of the mens rea of assault in English law.

100% was done on purpose, he could have fallen on a child and broke their neck, he’s lucky it’s just an assault charge really.

Police said at the time they were taking no action, which surprised me as it was so obviously done on purpose.

Did they arrest you first or something?

Interesting take.

What would you have charged him with, then?

I mean lucky, as he could have been on a greater charge if he had done serious harm to whoever he landed on.. he’s lucky he did no injury, and it’s just an assault charge.

No, but I remember that idiot Pompey fan - "John Portsmouth Football Club Westwood" almost did when walking on the roof in the past. Stewards dragged him back into the stand.

Ah yeah, I forgot about that muppet. Even so, he managed to stay on his feet and not fall on anyone.

Well you are very naive then is all I can say. He rolled himself off the end into a populated area. The cobbold incline isn't a black ski run.

Exactly.

Genuinely can't believe anyone says otherwise!
