Wasn’t a massive fan of this deal. Not that bothered it fell through. We have enough to compete until January. Just need 17th place when it’s all said and done. We will win tomorrow against Fulham got that feeling.

Loan with an option (I got this bit wrong and thought it was obligation) as surely that would have been madness given the medical issues we found.

Ornstein reports they have an option to buy at 30m, not obligation. If that’s true I have no idea why we’ve not gone ahead with it, an option to buy would’ve been perfect??

You must be happy considering you spent the last week whinging about signing him.
Oh I'm very pleased he's not signing. My "wow" is more at Everton's desperation to sign him without him being at full pelt until end of Oct/early Nov.
The second "wow" is at our inability to think outside the box and get in someone else to give AAH a season of solid Championship exposure, which'll do wonders for his confidence compared with fleeting bench appearances.

No wonder Chelsea wouldn’t budge when they had Everton up their sleeve. Just as the players learn premier league lessons hopefully the recruitment team will too. Everton are a direct rival let’s hope it doesn’t bite us.

Morsy to get a red against Everton. Double footed tackle to Brojas head. Haha

Blimey if we could have had that have we made an error as really its just a straight loan as if you don't like the 30M as he helped keep us in the prem then we don't just buy.
We can't say that the current injury is a reason to say no as we haven't got anyone else so not like we couldn't wait for recovery as we haven't used that 2nd domestic loan now.
Just maybe there is a player like Martial who is out of contract we can now sign so maybe there is something left field we have been working on?

Probably because we reneged on the original deal thinking no one else would come in for him and that we’d get better terms, only for Everton to come in and Chelsea telling us to foxtrot oscar
Highlighting crass stupidity since sometime around 2010
