First off, want to say that I'm delighted with the result today and on another day we could've had 3 points there. Weathered some good Fulham moves and thought overall we were the better side.

Muric, however, I'm yet to be convinced. I'm hopeful he can prove me wrong as he's made some good stops, but I can't be the only one finding it slightly surprising, considering we want to play and build from the back, that we've spent 8 million on a goalkeeper that appears to be COMPLETELY one-footed?

Didn't make any major errors in goal.
Their goal was a blinder- not sure many if any would stop that.
Really needs some work on distribution's long pitch.
Did well on crosses. Feels safer.
Did well to come back from last week.

He will improve and adapt to our game and become part of the team.

No different to spending what we did on clarke who is also completely right footed. You just adjust to ensure he can use his right foot.

No concerns for most and thought he had a good game, and needs several fairly to settle. But then he did go to scary pieces at 85minutes for no reason. And clearly only has one foot. I really liked Hladders too.

I don't mind people not being convinced yet, but please don't be one of the bellends having an audible moan when it doesn't go to plan. Heard a few already today and it doesn't help. (Not saying you are BTW)

Can see why we got him: more presence than Hladky, plays a bit higher up and better at the clipped ball over players.

Thought he was pretty good today. Did make one mistake in the second half; be nice if we don’t get on his case at every back pass.

Heard someone near me on the way out say they ‘never want to see Al-hamadi in a town shirt again’. Goodness me.

Yeah I hate that. I get frustrated but I've never been one to boo and shout, even in the darkest of times.

I think mily concern is twofold - first that it might get us into trouble (I wondered why he didn't hoof it with his left foot for Man City's second, now we know) but also that the defenders, Leif in particular, start to feel unsure of passing back to him in case it is on his wrong side and it puts us in trouble.

He’s definitely got something. I’m disappointed we didn’t strengthen at #9 before the window shut, I’m sure that was never the plan and we clearly looked to throughout the window, but it’s not AA-H’s fault. He’s a young player who stepped up from L2 to the Premier league with only a handful of games at a level between the 2. Nothing like a bit of support for our players hey.

Fcuking infuriating. The same people that moan when he plays short, then moan when he goes long. See also Walton & Hladky before him.

If people aren’t used to how we play by now, god help them.

I doubt there is.

The huge drop in quality when he came on was painful. Couple of balls into him that didn’t get controlled or use well, gave it away cheaply, didn’t control it and take it on (a really decent chance) then predictably got booked chasing the defender down (not even a smart or tactical foul, just clumsy and stupid)

Him coming on, for me, is a complete waste of time. If he gets 1 premier league goal I’ll be gobsmacked

All that said, when he comes on I’ll cheer him on like I do any town player

I still think Hladky could have stepped up and we could have put the money to better use. He could have been walking out in front of a packed house in the PL today. But for some reason prefers to sit on the bench for Burnley. Good keeper, crap life choices.

Really strange situation isnt it.

The few times Muric was forced, or just went long, I looked so uncomfortable. (And I think atleast twice it went out of play)

We would still have got in a keeper even if Hladky had stayed I think, there were a few times Kmac looked very frustrated with him at the back end of last season.

And at least one of those was forced by a poor back pass combined with good closing down by Fulham. I'd rather the "out of play" option versus the "I'm the goalkeeping version of Messi" option.

Agree that we would have been looking for a new no.1 regardless, but he could have been sitting on a premier league bench rather than a championship one

Something's definitely gone horribly wrong somewhere. He must have believed Trafford was leaving?

I felt he dealt with crosses quite poorly and spilled the ball quite a bit. I’m far from convinced but he was more composed than last week. Wasn’t alert to Wolf’s headed back pass in the first half.

School report. Must do better.

I do think people have forgotten hladkys first performances for us. He was very ropey. Kicking was off. He didn't claim balls and many wanted Walton back in asap.

I saw in the space of a week a different muric to the one who faced city.

There was a ball over the top early in the first half.
At first I was waiting for him. However he was stood back. You could tell he had instructions and he took them quite literally. 2nd half he came out of his shell a bit.

I always feel sorry for GKs any bad kick out, incorrect positionig is highlight more than any other position on the pitch, because it can lead to a goal.
For all the new outfield players, fans are giving the benefit for poor judgement/bad pass, based on the new player learning our style, new team mates, 'gelling', but not Muric.
He's still learning being part of a new defencive unit, with new players around him.

Everyone of the new players made at least one mistake today, some of that is caused by the fact they are still gelling. We need to understand Muric is part of that gelling process

Hladky wasn’t claiming crosses in his last week let alone his first.

He had a great season last year don’t get me wrong, but we shouldn’t rewrite history and make him out to be impenetrable. He was getting pelters on here for Hull’s late goal, arguably Coventry as well in that run in when the ball went through him.

Muric needs time, it was his home debut for us and he conceded 1 which he couldn’t have done anything about. Distribution was hit & miss at times but it was an OK performance from him and I do like that he’s not afraid to come for aerial balls which Walton does well and Hladky always looked very reluctant on.

Muric on 21:41 - Aug 31 with 3042 viewsPioneerBlue

Everyone that’s not sold needs to calm down a bit, we are three games into the season. There have been some moments for sure but that’s not going to inspire him or us to greatness having a coronary each time the ball is near by. He has a decent cv and other clubs have seen something. Look at how other players have improved whilst with us. No reason to think this isn’t a floor with more to come as the season progresses. Walton is pushing him. He probably could do with the fans supporting him after last week.

No criticism from me for today, I thought we were great, I thought Muric did everything he needed to. I do however wonder if Burnley have got the better end of the deal, I would have pushed harder to keep Hladky.

Muric on 21:49 - Aug 31 with 2952 viewspointofblue

His distribution isn't a great concern to me, other than not really being willing to use his left foot at all. I'm sure that'll improve as he gets to know the other players.

What was more worrying was I think he failed to cleanly claim every cross he came for. There were palms, parries, misses... if he continues in that vain on form he's going to give the defence kittens and the centre backs, in particular, are going to start getting in his way as they won't trust him to take control of situations.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?
