Taylor 13:29 - Sep 2 with 4658 views | tractorboy1978 | I wonder how much more of him we are going to see in an Ipswich shirt. Feels like he is very much the 25th member of this squad now and was the only fit player not in the squad on Saturday. He's only going to get further away from it once we have players back fit as well.
Taylor on 13:32 - Sep 2 with 4594 views | ipswichtillidie | Thought he may have gone out on loan but we like keeping a 5th CM player around. ( humpries ) previously who could also civet at FB. Injuries and suspensions may see him make the bench occasionally. His ball retention isn’t good enough simply put for me.

Taylor on 13:37 - Sep 2 with 4514 views | blueasfook | Will probably go out on loan in jan or be sold. Barring injury, he's way down the pecking order for a place in the team. I agree with what GB said last week. The qualities he has aren't fully utilised in our system. He'd shine in a team at championship level that has a midfield set up that suits him.

Taylor on 13:38 - Sep 2 with 4511 views | Rozz | I think Burgess missed out too according to Westlake on comms? Both will have to bide their time, but will be important when injuries start piling up in certain positions. KM has talked about the role of the players behind the scenes, so it's really their job to keep plugging away, learning, and continuing the spirit and ethic of the group that got us here.
Taylor on 13:39 - Sep 2 with 4480 views | portmanking | Now the window's shut.... He loves being a part of this club, adores playing/training under McKenna and understands the game differently now to how he perceived it 18 months ago. One or two loan offers on the table in the last fortnight, but desperate to train hard and fight to stay in the matchday 20.

Well thats highly commendable if its the case as players are quick to throw their toys out the pram these days. I'd like to see him go out on loan in Jan and have a really good half of the season somewhere in the Champ.
Taylor on 13:46 - Sep 2 with 4337 views | SomethingBlue | Only takes one injury or suspension among those existing four CM options and he's right back in the mix so I imagine we'll see him again soon enough. Sure they'll revisit his situation in January tho.

Can I ask why that needed to wait until after the window? Hardly controversial stuff And you've been happy to post other transfer def info during the window | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Taylor on 13:56 - Sep 2 with 4170 views | Mookamoo | Not a stretch of the imagination that Morsy will be suspended at various points this season. He is too clever to do a 3 game suspension in one hit, but those cards will add up quickly. History suggests Cajuste is unlikely to make it through a season unhindered. Good thing about Taylor is he will be ready when we need him

Though, in fairness to Taylor. He is a different type of player than any of those. The quick promotion has absolutely stymied him and his progression.

Taylor on 15:13 - Sep 2 with 3615 views | BloomBlue | With 25 players some will always miss out on match day. We could sell the likes of Taylor and replace with another player, but still some would miss out. The danger is always you end up with some very unhappy players. KM made the point about Humphreys when he went out on loan, about how critical he was last season even though he hardly played. How he trained hard, always positive, in other words by taking that approach Humphreys was pushing the other players to constantly remain at a top level if not they knew they would lose their place. The last thing we want is players who are 23rd, 24th, 25th, thinking who cares, it doesn't matter I'll never get picked. I'll turn up for training do a few runs, kick a few balls and just enjoy my massive weekly wage arriving in my bank account. Taylor, Burgess etc seem just as commited to Town/the proceds, happy for them to stay here.
Taylor on 15:15 - Sep 2 with 3595 views | Cheltenham_Blue | Taylor is going to have to improve if he wants to be part of what’s happening here. He can be pretty wasteful in possession. You’ll get away with that in the Championship, but at this level, you’ll get punished. Westlake has mentioned this too

Taylor on 15:25 - Sep 2 with 3501 views | PioneerBlue | We need significant strength for training and injuries. He will play his part. He will improve otherwise time on loan will come potentially when they look at things in Jan. We also don’t know where we will be next Aug. It was right for him to stay.

If Taylor & Burgess are the two out of the current 27 players that don't make the final squad of 25, then I thought they couldn't be called on at all.??
Taylor on 15:42 - Sep 2 with 3336 views | _clive_baker_ | I mean he’s 5th choice for one of those 2 positions so he’s clearly going to find his opportunities limited. There’s fewer games this season and we’re out of the cup. It would take some unfortunate circumstances for him to start a game, he’ll feature on the bench at times I’m sure.

Your matchday squad is 20 players (11 + 9 subs). Both are registered in the 25 man squad and available for selection, but often might not even get on the bench.

the current 27 players include 2 under-age players who don't count towards the named 25-man squad (delap and hutch), so burgess & taylor are fine

Taylor on 16:01 - Sep 2 with 3160 views | EdwardStone | I did wonder if his penalty attempt last Wednesday was going to be his last ever kick of a ball in a Town shirt I was so excited when he arrived in our squad, I was willing him to push on and score some of his amazing long-distance thunderba$tard goals. I wanted him to be a regular starter and become my favourite player After his feeble penalty shot I am surprised he is still with us tbh

I guess his thinking is that he wanted to stay here with this group who will lift him to his absolute max. If he genuinely made the choice to stay here then I admire his spirit.

i doubt it was taylor's choice over mckenna's (though he could have forced a move if need be), harness seemed keen to stay and fight for his place, but was persuadd to move on. mckenna has 2 players for every "department" (keepers/defenders/midfielders/forwards/strikers) with an extra man in each department, so it make sense to keep him, especially given his versatility

I think that was Darragh MacAnthony as well, getting his oar in on TalkSport with White and Jordan. He always gets us to pay Peterborough's inflated prices! If MacAnthony has had his premier league bonus for "Jack" now, I'm sure he won't mention him again.
