I do *really* want to like him and give him a chance.

Something in my gut is giving me really bad Sereni vibes, though.

Not sure why we’re going looking for issues and actually making any issue that may or may not be there any greater than it is

Looking at players ex club’s fans forum will for the most , give you a slanted opinion

Let’s see how he conducts himself over the next3-4 games then make judgement , he’s played two league games to date

The full thread is interesting for sure. Maybe Ashton and co. were so busy signing players there wasn’t time to do a full background/attitude check on Muric. Or, possibly a burnley message board might not be totally reliable, same as any other message board.

Yes, there's far too many reasons not to take literally anything that some fans have claimed on football message boards. I have a few doubts about Muric though, definitely at the questionable end of our transfer dealings since Summer 2022.

What's your point?

Why do some Town fans try and stir up sh1t with our players?

Even on that thread, there are posts saying how good he was, made the team tick, etc. Really are looking to get the knives out, aren't we.

So so important to have players available for scapegoating. I appreciate there is a little smoke here but having him back with the club in prep for the weekend PL game is more important than these internationals, taking the ITFC view anyway.

Think there’s been an OTT reaction to the news.

It’s happened before and apparently the Kosovo manager looks for excuses when they lose.

Nothing to see here I don’t think, don’t care what he does as long as he tows the line and plays to his best ability.

The fee seemed excessive even in a summer of us paying out huge amounts of money. Would have preferred Kelleher from Liverpool.

He would have cost us three times as much.

People need to give Muric a chance. He's played two games. One of which he was poor, one of which he did fine. I prefer my keepers to take less risks playing out from the back but we signed him knowing exactly what we were getting so in McKenna we trust.

Exactly, a fair few on their love him and even suggest they may of stayed up if he had been number 1 all season.

Reading that thread sounds like you could get atop top keeper with a few howlers thrown in if his attitude is good.

The only Muff in Town.

Exactly this.
Think we need to look at Kelleher next window.

I think saying he did fine against Fulham is slightly generous. An improvement to the Manchester City game, definitely, but he still seemed very uncertain coming from the ball and didn't really give a reason for his defenders to be confident in him.

I'd have prefered to have offered Hladky a better contract and kept some continuity in goal.

I agree. I can see why we wanted an upgrade, but out of those two options I would have preferred giving Hladky the role. What we've done pay Burnley £8m for their reserve keeper, and sent them a replacement for free.
