Trump just expressing free speech again. Right? 09:08 - Sep 20 with 1525 views | ElderGrizzly | Blaming the Jewish population for failure? Now where has that been seen before?
Trump just expressing free speech again. Right? on 09:20 - Sep 20 with 1454 views | Guthrum | This is somewhat different. It's more a massive narcissist bleating because everybody doesn't love him. While deliberately conflating Jewishness with Israeli national policy.

Yes, that's the heart of it. Plus a cack-handed way of trying to say: "I will be a bigger supporter of Israel than Harris, so I don't understand why the majority of Jews poll as supporting her." He has expressed it very badly, and, as with all things Trump, there is an element of petulance, blaming and getting his excuses in early. The worrying thing about this is that this could feed into a narrative amongst those of his supporters who are aggressively anti-Semitic that "We were betrayed by the Jewish community." Which is hugely dangerous in a country with both tactically-armed militias and plenty of socially and geographically isolated lone wolves.

And that’s the biggest problem. His supporters aren’t the sharpest, they’ve got a ton of weapons and you could easily see his words taken and acted upon. Just like Jan 6th. We need Harris to win convincingly, although the leaked emails from Georgia already show state officials working to undermine the result if Trump doesn’t win. I’m off to Philadelphia today, conveniently where Trump is on Sunday. I’ll wave :)

Trump just expressing free speech again. Right? on 15:00 - Sep 20 with 1056 views | WeWereZombies | At least he has moved on from Haitians: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1l4g6g5d97o '...the idea that Haitian immigrants were eating pets - allegations that have long been lobbed at a variety of immigrant groups in many countries - had already gone viral. They spread to right-wing accounts with big followings, until they were repeated online by Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance, and by Trump during last Wednesday's debate. "In Springfield, they're eating the dogs," he said. "The people that came in, they're eating the cats.".... It's unclear why Trump mentioned dogs - the online rumours focused on cats and also on wild ducks and geese. Local police have not recorded any cases of pets being devoured. Independent, right-wing and pro-Trump news sources searched for evidence, in some cases offering rewards for proof of cat abduction. So far no evidence of pet eating has come to light. Despite the false claims, Trump's comments put Springfield in the national spotlight, increasing tensions between the Haitian community and local residents.'

Trump just expressing free speech again. Right? on 18:10 - Sep 20 with 884 views | GlasgowBlue | It's absolutely chilling. And the MAGA fanatics are deeply in to conspiracy theories, so if he loses it won't end well for American Jews, who are already under attack due to the actions of the Israeli state. edit. Of course, this isn't much different to the far left who claimed that Zionists cost Corbyn the last election with "bogus" claims of antisemitism. [Post edited 20 Sep 2024 18:17]
