Serious lack of a goal threat on 04:48 - Sep 22 with 432 views | burnbudgiesburn | You know, looking at the match replay I thought Hutchinson struggled a bit at times but he produced a great shot and laid on half chances for Leif 1st half and Szmodics & Hirst 2nd half. Between Southampton & Brighton we've been a fraction away with our final ball/touch from creating 'great' chances as opposed to half chances. It'll come.

Serious lack of a goal threat on 18:50 - Sep 21 by RadioOrwell | Unsurprising learning curve for group that doesn't know this league or to a large extent, each other. Don't bother discussing. |
I agree, and am tempted to keep my gob shut, but I can't help but let it flap a bit: We're taking an aggressive approach to the Premier League (not just defending deep and trying to play within ourselves and on the break like a good little promoted side.) We've pushed hard for more than half of our game time so far - against sides that have an average position of 7th (before yesterday 4th/5th): Liverpool (H) 60 minutes Fulham (H) Southampton (A) In taking that aggressive approach, we have been trying to find ways to unlock better defences than we're used to (with about half of our front rotation being very young players) and consequently we've been playing outside of our comfort zone a little and trying to do exceptional things at great pace. At times it's looked a little clunky, but that's how we have to stretch ourselves to compete, and so long as morale stays high it will result in fast learning for talented players.

Serious lack of a goal threat on 08:02 - Sep 22 with 320 views | Mercian | True. The problem is that there are few if any proven goalscorers at this level available. Even Chelsea and until the arrival of Zirkzee Man U were fielding strikers way below what you would expect from a club of their size. Halaand is world class and both Watkins and Isak are true Premier League quality strikers. Darwin Nunez has flopped at Liverpool. Jota does a good job there but is a winger/support striker. Anyone I have missed?
