Surely anyone murdering other people isn't as emotionally mature as others there age. I don't really see that as a justification for a lesser sentence.
For what it is worth, this isn't an issue with the judge itself, it is the framework the judge is operating in. I believe in rehabilitation. But I also think there has to be some sort of meaningful consequence and 8 years isn't it for taking the life of someone else.
When I see rape sentences I typically feel the same way - consequences that don't fit the crime. [Post edited 27 Sep 2024 20:28]

Show me one child anywhere, any time, who’s always done everything their parents told them to do & who never did anything their parents told them not to; and sadly, some kids do have mental health problems which means their behaviour can be beyond any parental control or influence.
