Atmosphere! 20:27 - Sep 29 with 5596 views | bluejacko | It sounded really flat today on the tellybox🤔what’s up everybody had too much Sunday dinner?
Atmosphere! on 20:30 - Sep 29 with 4552 views | GeoffSentence | The crowd did seem to take a long time to warm up today. It was only in the latter part of the second half were we really seemed to get going. I guess we were all mentally still in church.

Atmosphere! on 20:35 - Sep 29 with 4488 views | longtimefan | It seemed quiet to me too. I had to miss today due to illness, first miss, home or away in quite sometime, so have no reference to judge whether it was quieter than normal or just the way the sound setup was?
Atmosphere! on 20:35 - Sep 29 with 4492 views | SitfcB | I felt it was quite flat and disappointing from my vantage point in SBRU but my brother in law who sat in Britannia Upper on half way thought it was very good.

Atmosphere! on 20:42 - Sep 29 with 4405 views | SuperKieranMcKenna | Seemed much more lively second half, the ref did a good job of getting the crowd worked up with some puzzling decisions/non decisions. Properly loud for the last 10/15 as we searched for a winner. There was a feeling iof tension n the air that if we’d have got something from the last couple of corners the roof would have come off!

I’d agree. I think it helps sitting facing the two sets of fans making the noise!?
Atmosphere! on 21:01 - Sep 29 with 4125 views | carlisleaway | I believe you cannot beat a Saturday afternoon match and for some reason a Sunday game does not give you the normal atmosphere
Atmosphere! on 21:03 - Sep 29 with 4086 views | gtsb1966 | Nerves especially when they drew level. When we got on top the second half it lifted considerably. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Midweek under the lights is usually good. Just today didn’t seem a lot from home and away supporters.
Atmosphere! on 21:05 - Sep 29 with 4059 views | tractorshark | We said it was flat in the first half. Didn’t feel like the Liverpool and Fulham games. Much better in the second half though.
Atmosphere! on 21:12 - Sep 29 with 3946 views | Bobby | It’s that bloody Cobbold stand. We were in B block and it was great pretty much all game. Although we can’t hear the away fans at all and I know villa made some noise. Speaking to a villain afterwards and they couldn’t hear us at all.

BBC commentator in the second half paused to take in the noise from the Town fans and comment how good it was……and then make several further comments about what a difference it made to the side to be carried along by such an amazing crowd.
Atmosphere! on 21:13 - Sep 29 with 3932 views | The_Flashing_Smile | I don't know why people feel the need to comment on the atmosphere when they weren't at the game. You might as well ask me what I think of heaven.

Atmosphere! on 21:22 - Sep 29 with 3759 views | Matt_Netherlands | In fairness, having been at the game and just watching some key bits back on Sky, it comes across much flatter on the tele compared being there live. That being said, PR wasn’t the most raucous today. But definitely a bit louder than TV cameras make out.

Because those that are not lucky enough to get a tkt enjoy hearing the noise as well as watching the footie! Pretty self explanatory I would have thought!

Atmosphere! on 22:22 - Sep 29 with 3367 views | SuffolkPunchFC | From where I was in the SAR, it began well but went flat after Villa took the lead, and for the rest of the first hall. Second hall was excellent.

I haven't got a problem with you hearing and enjoying noise through your TV screen, but if you're going to comment on how good the atmosphere is... well, the whole point of "atmosphere" is being there, in it.

Liverpool sounded really loud on TNT

Atmosphere! on 07:46 - Sep 30 with 2433 views | bsw72 | I think it is partly down to TV coverage - tends to drag out the start of the match and (I believe) limits what they can play over the speakers just before kick off, so difficult to get the ground rocking. Yesterday as well the way that Villa started also quietened the fans and was probably deliberate, they had prety much 90% possession up to Delap's first goal ust to suppress that start of match fervour.
Atmosphere! on 07:53 - Sep 30 with 2402 views | portmanking | The Greaves error seemed to suck the vibrancy out of the crowd IMO. It was almost a "FFS, we can't gift good teams easy goals, is this gonna be the story of our season?" vibe from 20-th-45th minute. 2nd half was just as loud as Fulham IMO.
Atmosphere! on 08:00 - Sep 30 with 2335 views | itfckenty | At some points it was little quieter than normal, but I think overall is was ok. I was upper west, close to SBR.

Atmosphere! on 09:28 - Sep 30 with 1995 views | Ryorry | It sounded really loud on the radio though (bbc R5l); in fact a couple of us made the point during the game that radio does seem to pick up crowd noise better than TV. Also, though I wouldn’t recommend Sony TVs for other reasons, they do have a ‘football’ button that you can select specifically to hear the match more as if you were there, ie crowd sound, no commentary.
