Out in the cold is over egging it, Rob Holding at Crystal Palace being sent to train with the under twenty ones is properly out in the cold:

'Glasner was asked why Rob Holding was not included in a squad photo this week: "Rob is training with the under-21s. He will stay there and that's why he was not in the picture."'

Poll: What was in Wes Burns' imaginary cup of tea ?

They’ll be in the picture at some point. It’s a long season and we will lose players to injury, form and changes in set up. Broadhead and Woolfy in particular will get plenty of games and I think Clarke will too.

Axel is a proper experienced PL player and is important as this team comes together. I like HC and he will learn a lot and I suspect will be in the team before seasons end. I can’t see Axel playing every game with his fitness record.

In terms of feeling a bit for the players who got us here, nothing can ever take away what they achieved. It’s just the nature of the game that if any team progresses, better players will come in.

I'll be very surprised to see Woolfenden getting plenty of games, unless O'Shea picks up a serious injury. Don't think he'll be even used like Edmundson was.

Broadhead, I agree - once fully match fit, he'll probably switch with Jack Clarke dependent on opponent.

As with Szmodics over Chaplin when Hutchinson is rotated, I imagine Johnson will be preferred to Harry Clarke when Tuanzebe doesn't play.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

They're not alone. Chappers, Broady, too. Can see one of these move on to create squad space in Jan. H Clarke mentioned also.
Very strange that Taylor has risen above last year's regulars to get some game time when he looked like he was out of the door. If you get a slightest opportunity- then you have to take it.

These back-to-back promotion players will be legends for us, but most will probably be victims of their own success.

Broadhead will get plenty of minutes this season when fit. He’s a better equivalent in the left than Ogbene is on the right.
