Never going to be a good time for Morsy to pick up his 5th booking, but hopefully he'll avoid a yellow against West Ham.

Don't really want him to miss Everton or Leicester at home.

Given how card happy the refs are in the PL, having seen the TV replays I think he was quite fortunate not to be sent off yesterday.

Not as worried this season as the previous two with Phillips and Cajuste in the squad.

ha ha ha - love this - imagine having a conversation 18 months ago about not being worried about losing Morsy to suspension because we have an England and a Swedish international for cover. Bonkers when you think about it.

He had a great game yesterday, but, he really over stepped the mark, and then to do a joking tweet about it after was not the right thing to do imo. I am sure Kieron was not impressed that he went so close to being sent off, that could have lost us that game yesterday and we would have been in a completely different situation.

He is getting a lot of adoration right now from the fans, and rightfully so, but he needs to remain calm, professional, and focussed on the prize. That prize for him should be to play in a European football match at Portman rd before he retires.

Don’t quite understand why he didn’t get sent off yesterday. We’ve got decent cover now haven’t we and have to accept that he’ll miss at least 3 games through suspension this year, probably more.

Taylor's cameo yesterday was really good to see.

Over analysing it.

It was just a tweet. Imagine the adrenaline was still pumping after that performance.

Let's not criticise tiny little details tgat don't matter.

And Luongo put in a fantastic tackle right near the end when Villa were in a dangerous position.

And it looks like Morsy has been given permission to go out and get booked so early in the season, with those waiting in the wings.

Watching the tackle on MOTD, was was not a foul, well timed, got the ball and did not make any contact with the player from what I saw. It took a long while for Atwell to decide it was actually a foul.

The tackle where he should of received a second yellow?

It was 100% a yellow watching the replay and he was very lucky to not get sent off.

Give over ffs.

McKenna says himself that’s the way Sam plays.

It was probably over critical, but I think it needed raising, mainly as you are right, there will no doubt be a fair amount of blood rushing to players heads right now, things are looking very encouraging indeed, and we just need to stay focussed.

Morsy makes me sick with his constant drive and his ability to win the ball, break up play and drive the team forward. How dare he enjoy the fact that for once he has managed to get away with it and make a joke about it.

I really hope McKenna stamps down on his desire, energy and passion for Town to win games, throws the book at him and suspends him for his approach yesterday and subsequent tweet. We need to stamp out this kind of behaviour in football, as it obviously doesn't resonate with the fans.

That'll teach him.

My view on it is the same as it was last season. There's never a good time to not have your captain, but it comes when it comes and we deal with it. He can't play within himself, he needs to go out and play his natural game and we cross that bridge when it inevitably comes.
