Probably the part where he said what fken data pack did you use for this signing.

Walton coming in for Everton? on 20:56 - Oct 5 with 7039 views | SitfcB | Muric didn’t do much wrong today apart from a mad two minutes where he came out and missed it and then played a short pass to Morsy, neither of which cost us directly although did feel had he gone long the second goal may not have happened.

I only listened, not watched today, but a key question for me would be - is Muric inspiring confidence in the team, esp defenders, in front of him? Also - I do miss hladky. by Ryorry 5 Oct 2024 17:07I'd start Walton in next league game. Shouldn't just be an injury-enforced swap. Surely deserves a chance based on his & Muric's displays overall so far this season.

Behing honest sitters. I only caught the first half But in that half. The most I was comfortable muric was when he chipped the ball to davis on the left. When he did this he was fine on the ball. West ham then obviously shut this option down and muric then went into self distruct, suicide passes down the middle. You just can't do it in this league. 3 times he did it in 5 mintjes and all 3 times we lost the ball immediately and they should have scored. Then the crosses. He came for a couple of standard balls great but then suddenly for some bizarre reason went into do I don't I mode. Almost like he had just turned up to play and didn't know what to do.. how do you go from calm and collective to such a danger to himself in such little time. That is concerning.

Personally I think Muric is still learning about the players in front of him but equally needs to start reading the game a bit better. In the first half he played some lovely clipped balls out to Davis which beat the press. But then tried to go short when Wet Spam had a full press on that got everyone nervy and it accelerated from there. That back pass from Johnson was horrible and though Muric did well to half clear it, after that we were out of position and never got cover back. Personally I thought we were chasing shadows several times during the game, arriving after the opposition had the ball, sticking a leg in to try and win the ball but they were too fast. An off day to be sure...I'm starting to move towards having 3 in MF on away days.

Can we really afford to have a goalkeeper still learning about his teammates when we're nearly a fifth of the way through the season. If mine were this slow at learning they'd be sent to special school nevermind the bottom set. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Also. Learn the magic art of the villa keeper When under the cosh. Go down injured and slow things down. Game isn't gonna play on when the keepers down.

Walton coming in for Everton? on 21:38 - Oct 5 with 6634 views | RedX | Muric has been a disastrous signing. No wonder the defence seem a bit all over the place at times with him behind them. Walton might not be able to move the ball around like Hladky or Muric but you’d have confidence that he wouldn’t make some off the wall mistake.

He’s a very odd player, some parts of his game look excellent and others conference level - often within five minutes of each other. I’m not convinced yet but he’s a long way down the list of players to disappoint today.

Walton coming in for Everton? on 21:59 - Oct 5 with 6417 views | Chrisd | We never seem to learn on here, where we write players off after a handful of games. Muric is still finding his feet with us, getting to know the players and coaching staff, he has also moved from a northern club down to the depths of the south east - a complete change of environment. It takes people time to adjust, although a footballer he still has his insecurities and anxieties like all of us. It would be good if this was factored in before people simply discard players. Thankfully, those people are nowhere near selecting the match-day side. [Post edited 5 Oct 2024 22:40]

There's a north south divide , but change in environment 😭😂 I would have hoped that after a fifth of the season we'd start to see that famous 'gel' ? Tell me when can I expect.

If we put Walton in, he’ll also be learning about what’s in front of him. Last time he had a proper run in the team, Edmundson Wolfe & Burgess were getting games.

Fwiw I also advocate Woolf being in, so that'd mitigate that. Leif, greaves, woolf, Tuanzebe, protected by Morsy. Walton knows that

Is this the same Walton that people thought was a poor keeper when we first signed him after a few shaky performances? Interesting.

I like Walton as a keeper - always have - this is my case in point. The more he played he got better. For me, he was a better all round keeper than Hladky, but like all players needs a good run of games to build confidence. Burnley fans have seen far more of Muric than all our fans and they were disappointed to see him leave. Give him more time to get established and comfortable in his own skin is all I’m saying. Sadly it looks like Tuanzebe will be out for a while. Of course, he played behind Woolfenden - Greaves - Davis against Liverpool. If Clarke replaces Johnson that's someone else he knows. Not that I can see any of these changes happening.

Walton coming in for Everton? on 22:36 - Oct 5 with 6029 views | JammyDodgerrr | As always with keepers, the reserve keeper always gets better when he isn't playing. Walton can't do what we need to a level we need it, we've seen it time and again. There is a reason Muric is here and we didn't just make Walton No. 1 when Hladky left.

Hladky was just so good with the ball at his feet though, he was as good as damn it another outfield player at times, could invite the press and more often than not made the right pass and decision... I didn't really know how good Muric was with his feet to be honest, he must be fairly decent given how Burnley played, so I'm hoping he's a bit like Hladky when he first arrived here, a rabbit in headlights needing time to settle and a run of games..
