It is easy to forget that footballers are somehow not human and may have flaws, hopefully speaking openly about his issues will enable him to be a better person, it sounds like fatherhood has helped a lot with this and maybe he can now start to enjoy the game again as well as keep out of trouble and avoid bad influences in his every day life.
