Whilst I partly agree
We did sign ahadme on a 3 year one with an extra year option and well that didn't quite go anywhere.
Time will tell with johnson of course so let's see where it goes but the contract given out isn't a sign of anything other than it helps with the psr stuff. For all we know west ham only offered him one so he could count as a homegrown option should they flirt with Europe again. But also if they managed to sell him at some point then he'd have been pure profit.. |  |

I just don't think he fits really. We play with a hybrid RB/RCB and with Burns/Ogbene providing the width down the right side as more of a RWB. That is how we look most balanced. Tuanzebe and now O'Shea slot into that role far better than Johnson does.
If we were playing Omari on the right, I think Johnson suits but that doesn't seem to be the direction KM is going in. |  | | |

Hasn't played in just 1 game tho has he.
If he's not injured. Maybe KM realises you can't play a trent version of a rb who can't defend when you have davis going forward on the other side.

Like I say, I don’t think it’s KM’s style to do that, but then again he did drop a little hint that some players have not been happy not playing (though I took that to be last seasons players). We’ll just have to wait and see. I’m sure Phill will ask 8n the afte4 match presser. | |

One poor game? I watched us every game this season (including the pre-season) and for me he's easily been the most underwhelming signing so far for us. Not casting him aside but he hasn't shown anything to claim a spot so far. That McKenna prefers multiple CBs instead of him at RB tells something as well. |  |
