Barring an equally poor run of form from Palace and Wolves which is highly unlikely at this stage it is going to be a massive struggle. Palace and Wolves have been there before, we haven't. If we don't beat Leicester we are deep in the mire. Today was disappointing as we have lost our momentum, team spirit and confidence. We were very, very poor again and gift goals every match. 5 live said we had the worst xg both for and against. To be honest Everton barely broke a sweat today to beat us. Our weakest area for me is the midfield we cannot transition the ball to the forwards effectively and as a result created very little against a team whose away form over the past few seasons is one of the worst in the league.
We appear to be going backwards since the Villa game and I don't see any sign of that changing anytime soon sadly. We badly need a win soon or I fear it is going get embarrassing. The only silver lining today was finding out somewhow Saints blew their two goal lead. | | | |
