McKenna has enough credit in the bank that I would never sack him. But the teams around could easily change their manager before Christmas which could change their play style and their fortunes. The last resort panic button is something I don't think we have in our arsenal purely because of what McKenna has done for us. Whether that's good or bad I don't know

Patience these days is something most people just don’t possess. Best to let the bedsheet brigade enjoy their moment.

I think no matter what, the club will stick with KM. I feel like we've been victims of our own success in a way. Maybe we could have done with another season in the championship for KM to further develop and strengthen the team. Anyways, there's still plenty of this season to go. Today was disappointing but we're still in this league and there's still plenty to fight for. Just need to get some confidence and self belief back in the team.

Your first sentence, I agree, and rightly so. Whatever happens this season it's his first season in the top flight. Has he made mistakes...yes definitely . I'm not going to name anyone but I think we wasted good money on a couple of players and they are players KM obviously agreed to. Just my opinion. IF we were to go down he'll have learnt a lot and I wouldn't want anyone else as manager. He has done it once and can do it again. The last 2 games have been horrendous and sitting here now I would say we're more likely to go down than stay up but you never know. If at first you don't succeed and all that... I actually think that if we lose all of our next 10 games by at least 2 goals and without a single shot on target, McKenna will then be sacked. So, in that respect, the OP is factual.

Look I've not said it directly myself as for me he could take us down and no fan would want him gone. Maybe not even myself as football is bad enough with getting rid of managers esp those who've done so well before. I did say earlier tho I don't know what the owners will do. They've given him a big contract. Spent a fortune on players. We don't know what their target is and where their line is drawn. [Post edited 19 Oct 2024 17:53]

The American national trait is impatience. So wouldn’t surprise me.
