Couldn't agree more with the posts below.
If anything is likely to suck the atmosphere from the stadium it's a loud over excited grown up who clearly likes the sound of his own voice being given the controls to the PA system.
His performance is both embarrassing and ineffective.

I felt that he was okay to begin with; perhaps a mixture of the step up from Foz, and him having yet to fully find his feet?
Since he's grown into the role, though, he's been cringeworthy at best and downright unbearable at worst. | |

These threads getting a bit repetitive tbh. I've met the guy in real life a couple of times and spoken to him about his role.
He's a lifelong Town fan, lovely confident guy, loves his job and essentially does it for a hobby, not his FT thing. He's told to try and improve the fan experience, which is what the PL is all about nowadays, right or wrongly.
He wants to make PR a fortress and wants to help improve the atmosphere, as do the club. While I agree with a lot of the threads and I dislike a lot of the stuff that does happen on the mic, the pile on on the bloke isn't necessary, he has to do what he's told to do and he's trying to help.
