Elephant in the room 12:12 - Oct 20 with 3985 views | bluesbrothers | Don’t think I’ve seen this said anywhere, and I don’t particularly like saying it, but think Morsy has looked off the pace a fair bit this season. MOTD even highlighted that central area as our real weakness. Unfortunately, none of the others are impressing either tho. Sure this will get slated to as he’s a bit like the NHS - not allowed to criticise it!

Elephant in the room on 12:24 - Oct 20 by pointofblue | I think the big issue we also have is who do we play left wing? Clarke is green and is more of an impact sub, Hutchinson prefers the right, Szmodics would be out of position and Broadhead is finding his feet after injury. Whether we play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 that's still a headache to sort out. |
I would go more 4-3-2-1. Muric. Johnson/Axel, Woolfy, Burgess/Greaves, Davis. Phillips, Morsy, Taylor. Hutchinson, Delap. Hirst. We would have Szmodics, Clarke, Chaplin, Broadhead and Burns to come from the bench when needed.

Elephant in the room on 12:19 - Oct 20 by ElephantintheRoom | An aging somewhat thuggish journeyman was always going to struggle in rarified company - mind you he’s been thrown under a couple of buses by McKenna who has paired him with a weak rental trying to recover his form and is usually I outnumbered and easily by-passed. |
I wonder occasionally where the club would be if you ran it. It helps me to appreciate where we are.

Elephant in the room on 14:00 - Oct 20 with 472 views | GlasgowBlue | It's been said. Kalvin Phillips... by GlasgowBlue 20 Oct 2024 8:42Morsy in no spring chicken. What he lacks in speed he makes up for in vital and often aggressive tackles. He not doing that at the moment and it was painful to watch him chasing shadows. Kalvin Phillips... by GlasgowBlue 20 Oct 2024 8:14In what way was Morsy better? He hasn’t made a tackle in the last two games since he git his 4th yellow against Villa.
Phillips hasn’t been great against West Ham and Everton but at least he isn’t frightened of making a tackle of giving away a tactical foul.
Morsy has been a shadow of himself over the last two games. Kalvin Phillips... by GlasgowBlue 19 Oct 2024 23:07How can he have a license to roam when his defensive midfield partner is too frightened to put in a tackle because he’s one booking away from a suspension?
I’ve said it before, the sooner Morsy gets his booking the better. Then he misses a game and can come back and contribute the way he did for the first six games.

Are you suggesting that is remotely possible that some no mark kiddy fiddler from Downham Market could run a football club?
