Not a long term option obviously but he stood out as someone who was playing okay (most others were struggling, particularly Burns who was playing directly ahead of him). Until MOTD I hadn't realized what a good move the early Clarke chance was, starting with DO pinging a good quick pass into Hutchinson in the middle of the pitch. I would love to see H.Clarke have a good go at the RB slot, but I can see O'Shea doing a job if needed.

Not seen him mentioned much on 23:10 - Oct 20 by FrimleyBlue | Data Which In itself can be a problem. We saw goalkeeper.com take credit for us signing muric because of their data and the fact he saved more shots than he should have done. But I've thought about this.. how many of those shots did he face because the defenders weren't confident with him... Data is great and all that. But does data beat the good old fashioned scouting? To be fair, Muric has kept the scores down in a lot of games already. Even the high scoring ones.

Of course he has that was what the data said. He's a good shot stopper.

God knows what he was doing, surely you don't head a ball back into a danger zone, that's pretty standard bit of coaching advice at any level? I suspect he'd be steady enough at right back but is going to offer precious little assistance going forward We know Clarke isn't the best defensively but as soon as he came on, he added far more down the right immediately I think Chappers addition also, really showed up Omari's number 10 efforts, he's clearly better suited to the wings currently

Blimey that is a stretch to apportion any blame there, if Burns clears as he should, easily, then we'd have all said it was well defended and forgot about it. His other options were head it out for a cheap corner or leave it and let the man behind him have a free shot. He didn't head it into the six yard box. [Post edited 20 Oct 2024 14:13]

Heading it out for a corner is exactly what he should have done if he couldn't clear it properly. He has to take a portion of the blame for that goal - less than Burns but he's played a part. Then there was the horrendous back pass that led to a one on one. Early days but as you can probably tell I am far from impressed by O'Shea so far. I don't think he warrants a start over Woolfenden at centre half currently.

Agree. Looks bang average but let's hope he's just settling in.
