Paul Cook signed a new contract with Chesterfield…. 18:26 - Oct 25 with 954 viewsITFC_Forever

Found his level etc etc…..

But good luck to him. Didn’t work out at ITFC clearly, but I bear no grudge against him unlike some of our other ex-managers.
Can remember his Wigan side beating Man City in the FA Cup when they were at least one, if not two, divisions lower than them by simply having a go. Given this was when Mick was in his peak pragmatic phase, I can remember thinking what a different approach - actually trying to win a game by being brave.

Not sure why this is his level? He's proven at a higher level. Just think after his Dad died his priorities have maybe changed. He's taken a job where he has the passion for the game again and it's like an old home for him. Wish him the best.

He got it wrong for us. But so hard to get an entire new squad to click quickly. He'd do a good job higher up in the right environment for him. But I think he's loving life again there. Hope so.

It was a tongue-in-cheek comment, often used when an ITFC player / manager does well at a lower level.

As I said, I wish him all the very best.

Pleased for him.

Although he made some mistakes and it didn't work out for us, respect is due for going back into the National League.

Pleased it's worked out for him.

Not so far from home for all his backroom staff as well.

Poll: New hobby suggestions for NeedhamChris.
