And forgive me if many have already made it.
Does anyone else get second season in the Prem vibes under Burley from this season? A bunch of sexy new players including a fancy new keeper coming in and undermining the ethos and patterns that got us success in the first place? Innit.
We don’t have European football to blame this time though.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
Poll: With Evans taking 65% in Huddersfield, is the Banter Era over?

It’s the only time that the manager and club hasn’t trusted the players who got promotion to step up and show their worth in the top division - which seemed strangely curious, but presumably all part of being keen to be seen to be‘Backing McKenna’ when they might have been better advised for sacking him for his overt greed and opportunism

Whilst I agree with your subsequent point (which even Marcus Evans bought into with his fabled 5 year plan). Alf Ramsey didn’t have many home grown players to build his team around - and he was quite successful.

If you believe McKenna actually knows what he is doing then perhaps Forest are the club to cling too. They bought two container loads of mercenaries and still managed to stay up despite breaching FFP and selling their best player. And look at them now.

Alf Ramsey started managing at Ipswich almost 70 years ago.

I wonder if people in 1959 were making comparison to football back in the late 1800s? Probably not because that would be absolutely ridiculous

I think the signings have been good (though remain sceptical on No1), but do think we have played too many newbies too soon and diluted the core.

I think that the way we played through Morsy last season needs to change because PL teams have us sussed and are pressing higher and faster.

I am also a blinkered one who expects us to finalise half way up the league
