I thought Lapado was a great signing at the time & so he proved. We wouldn't have got out of League 1 without his goals. He's been found wanting at Championship level in the past & so it proved so he's been moved on. For whatever reason, his career has gone downhill since, which often happen to strikers once they turn 30, but no need to deride a player who did well for us during his time at Town. |  |

I thought Lapado was a great signing at the time & so he proved. We wouldn't have got out of League 1 without his goals. He's been found wanting at Championship level in the past & so it proved so he's been moved on. For whatever reason, his career has gone downhill since, which often happen to strikers once they turn 30, but no need to deride a player who did well for us during his time at Town. |
I am not even sure it is true to say he was found wanting at Championship level. His goals nearly kept Rotherham up. However, it didn't work for him with us last season when he was given game time. However, he was still part of the squad that won promotion from that division!
He is a good League 1 striker who did fine in the Championship and is now 31. Why any Town fan would harbour hatred towards him is beyond me. | |

My original post was one of surprise that Ladapo was not in the starting lineup, not to call him names. When you go on from that to say he was brought on because they had no firepower you are contradicting the derision you start the sentence with.
He was lively when he came on and perhaps created Huddersfield's best chance but it was the old story of introducing a substitute too late for the to settle into a game that had become Tamworth defending for all they were worth and looking dangerous on the break. | |
