Sorry to be rude, but frankly I couldn't give a toss about the important metrics. From about the 10th minute to the sending off, it was all Ipswich. The game turned on a stonewall penalty not given, followed a few seconds later by one of the softest double-yellow cards I've ever seen. |

You're broadly right, but I felt today was a more encouraging performance than the Brentford one. after a shaky first 10 minutes, we got on top & were looking more like scoring a second than conceding, but unsurprisingly the red card changed everything. Defence was more solid, Muric had a decent game, although Davis was beaten at will by Fatawu. Johnson also put in a decent shift & 2 good performances from Chaplin now. Hutchinson looks far more at home on the right. |  |

I wish VAR wasn't part of football but it is.
It's not the reason we have zero wins and now in November though. Even today against the next worst side in the division statistically (just above us) we came out second best in most of the important metrics. |

Yes I'd agree compared to Brentford. It was certainly more controlled and we didn't break out of shape chasing balls as much. How much is us vs quality of opposition is a slight doubt for me. | | | |

I’d ditch VAR in an instant. We’d still get dreadful decisions like today but I’d live with the odd refereeing howler not to have the passion ripped out of the game.
VAR has not improved the decision making in the way people assumed it would. And it is certainly ruining the fan experience.
It’s just the love child of pundits who forensically analysed refereeing decisions for the benefit of armchair punters who never attend matches.
However, the clubs had the chance to ditch it and they didn’t want to. Wolves tabled the motion last summer and only they voted to scrap it. The other 19 Prem teams at the time wanted to keep it.
