Overall it was the best performance of the season. We have bounced back we’ll after two bad performances. Will we stay up? It’s going to be a hard task now, but if we keep playing like that we’ll give it a decent crack. |  |

I think these stick in the mind and they certainly got a few groans around us, but from memory they were high tariff balls. I don’t really mind him trying those to be honest, particularly if we’re set and in our shape. If they wriggle through you’ve basically cut out 5 or 6 players.

Yep thought Johnson had a very solid game - the type of performance he needs to cement himself as first choice.

Getting the negative out of the way first, I don’t think we have much chance of survival. We simply are not strong enough. In the first ten games we have not taken enough of our chances and overall we’ve looked weak defensively. The gap has proved too big to bridge in my view.
On the upside, I thought we played the best we have all season until the mad minute. Until then we had totally dominated all but the first 10 minutes. Especially the tempo of the game. The players in dirty grey were being forced to do things they didn’t like, were hurried and starved of any control.
The exception was the ref who they conned and controlled beautifully. I’m sure their ugly, graceless manager had tears of gratitude in those pickled onion eyes when he shook hands with the little man after the game.
Of our players that started, nobody had a bad game. Last season when we played Leicester, they were better than us in both matches. They weren’t in this game.
Once again, our players gave their very best. It’s all one can ask for really. |  | | |
