I don't begrudge them doing it.

On the one hand, they could probably fill the car park thrice over at the current prices, and they're significantly cheaper than a lot of the other options in close proximity to the ground.

On the other hand, the Portman Road area is complete carnage post-match, and it might be that they're trying to reduce the number of cars driving all the way to the ground.

Plenty of on-street options outside the permit-controlled area, whilst still being less than 20mins walk to the ground.

I imagine we're fairly unique in terms of having a council-run car park next-door to the ground. How much would you pay for stadium parking somewhere like Reading or MK?
