I'd like to see Colin Murray get it. Although he's a L'Pool fan he has a real soft spot for us, is great pals with Magic and regularly talks about Ipswich on his current Sunday Morning Radio show on R5.

If the BBC wish to revamp it and appeal to a younger audience then Micah Richards has to be in contention - he’ll appeal more to the young than another Gary Lineker. Possibly Laura Woods as well.

I think Woods and Richards have 'banter' that makes them good panel members. I dont think Woods is a great presenter.
If I was going for a left field female I would go for Reshmin Chowdury over Laura Woods. Much better presenter.
Also not convinced that the younger generation can be tempted to MOTD, they are already getting their match highlights in other ways. Could end up alienating the existing viewers by chasing a market that isnt there.

The criteria for being a presenter on the Beeb now seems to just being a dancer on Strictly.

Never got the hype around Laura Woods - tone of voice is a cure for insomnia and presenting style seems very wooden to me.
Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan have to be the outstanding candidates for me - bright personalities, good knowledge and ask interesting questions that actually draws interesting responses from pundits.
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

She who couldn't be @rsed to have enough respect to tell the difference between John Wark & George Burley when they were both standing in front of her (I appreciate to her, these Scottish legends must all look the same)
At least that was more embarrassing to watch than being knocked out of the FA cup by non-leaguers

Am I the only one to think that Gaby Logan gets more attractive with age?
