Just held onto the ball a little too much but I agree, he looked good for the opening 15 to 20 mins. |  |

Should have been the ideal game for Jack Clarke. Against the low block the way to beat it is run at them and open them up. He did a couple of times early in the match and then lost confidence and his play dropped. He did have a couple of good runs. The first one especially should have resulted in him shooting, but he was looking to pass and then fell over. Shame. Same with Omari. You must run at the the low block to bring them them out to tackle you and we played him as the number 10 for too long. Burns was hardly in the match and we should have replaced him much earlier and had more energy and competitiveness in the match. |  | | |

I agree, no slight on Jack Clarke, but I think Davis and Broady are a more effective pairing as Broady tends to play more centrally leaving space for Davis to maraud into and whip his crosses in. |  |

What I did like about Broady compared to Clarke, is he tried to make defence splitting passes, something we lack with most of our forward line actually, Hutch is more of a dribbler and pass it around, delap holds and goes, Szmodics runs and crosses or plays simple passes, but Broady perhaps is the only forward player who looks to play others in on goal. |  |

I thought Clarke was OK last night. But too many times he ran inside, into a group of Palace players and lost the ball. Occasionally needs to stay wide and go down the wing and stretch the opposition.

I thought Clarke was OK last night. But too many times he ran inside, into a group of Palace players and lost the ball. Occasionally needs to stay wide and go down the wing and stretch the opposition.

This isn't a go at KM as I openly admit he's far better than myself. But whilst I sometimes see his reasoning in changing the team around two of his recent changes haven't in my humble opinion made us better and possibly worse. They are bringing in Greaves for Burgess and Chaplin for Szmodics. Don't get me wrong, I love Chappers, his enthusiasm and hard graft, but he has struggled at the higher level more than Szmodics and I thought him and Delap worked well. Why not try a formation where Burns drops to the bench and you have Delap and Szmodics with Broadhead playing just behind them. Greaves looks good in the air, but less secure on the ground where he seems easily turned. | | | |

That's his best half yet, he still looks way short of the player we need
I've no doubt he will grow with us, you just wonder if that will be soon enough in regards to our PL stint |  |
