Yea, a striker, ideally on a perm, and a right sided midfielder in the Burns/Ogbene mould (probably on loan) feels like the obvious gaps to fill. It feels OTT to try to have four right backs in the squad, even if one is injured, and if McKenna has that little faith in H Clarke then he should spend the second half of the season on loan in the championship |  | | |

Don't see attracting players a problem how many players wouldn't want a few thousand more in their back pocket knowing that if we were relegated they could do one of two things. Firstly if good enough move to another Premier club, if not they know they have a contract that guarantees them their wages. I think a lot will depend on exactly where we stand when into January. If we can hang in there and not get too far adrift then decent money will be available. | | | |

Agreed a striker and RB are the priority.
Rumour is that Leicester are interested in Ferguson so if Brighton do let him go out on loan, we are going to face stiff competition for his signature - Ashton will need to work his magic again.
Chelsea have a few players I’m sure they wouldnt miss if they were sold or went out on loan. |  |

Re: the "why not" and U21s, I think it's fair to say the academy will take a little while to catchup. Not sure we can expect it to be producing Prem level youngsters given we were in League One two years ago! |  |

Exactly. It's hard to sign good players in January as hardly anyone is a seller, unless you offer silly money, which we don't have. We clearly need a back-up striker & probably a right back. |  |

All depends where we are in the league..if we cut away with one or two more from the rest and the gap realistically is to wide in terms of points to catch up with ,let alone move away from the bottom 3 .I think the owners will cut their losses and tell mckenna no more money...betrr to regroup and get ready for the championship...which is what you probably can expect....if we are only a handful of points from let's say the nxt 3 above the bottom 3.well then they will say ...look its achievable and here is so much more money..but they definitely won't be splurging out ...fair play rules or not !!! | | | |

First point to answer is where do we create squad vacancies. It may seem harsh, but if we are serious about staying in this league, we just have to bite the bullet and create 4 spaces to replace injured or players who just aren't quite Prem Quality. So that would include:
Ogbene - purely due to his injury
AAH - needs to go on loan to Championship
H Clarke - ditto
Wes - ditto
Massimo - ditto

How about a perm on a striker?
Yeah, striker, poss strengthening on the right, possible Taylor/Mass replacement. Also a CB maybe if Woolf is going to be out in the cold or moved on. All depends on who’s available and what deals can be done. I’d rather have quality over numbers though. |  |

However many we bring in then NEED to have premier league experience, far too many goals have been given away due to naivety and lack of experience at this level and not just Muric. Greaves, H.Clarke, and others have all made mistakes leading to goals this season, Muric is just the easy target as he is the goalkeeper and his mistakes are massively more highlighted. |  | | |
