Flu jab 13:37 - Dec 24 with 2059 viewsitfc_bucks

Anyone had the jab this year and been flattened by side effects?

Every joint in my upper body aches, hot and cold, slightly phlegmy (but persistent) cough, headaches, eye pain...

If this is the cure, god spare me the illness!

There is concoction of viruses doing the rounds.

You may have one of them.

I had the flu jab early October

Since the end of October I’ve had the most horrendous bug I can’t shift. Coldy, achey, snot like you wouldn’t believe and every time I think it’s gone the B’stard comes back

I was flattened for two weeks with the same. Got better for about 2 days and am now precisely as ill and am 4 days in.

It was interesting to see a load of posts on Saturday where people were offering their tickets out as ill. It's clearly everywhere.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I didn't suffer any adverse reaction, and have never suffered a reaction to any jab (apart from some localised pain at the injection spot).

Sounds like covid variant we're seeing this year.

I've had a low level cold for weeks now. The symptoms don't sound as bad as yours but its lingered for a long time and have felt fatigued since about October.

Same here Keno. Aching joints is one thing I've noticed, or maybe I'm just old now.

Had the jab ages with no issues.

Cold/bug this week (first of the winter) which has all the symptoms/stages of proper flu but not at the normal ‘man-down’ level. However, I’ve felt lethargic and out-of-sorts now it is on its way out - bizarre feeling.

On the subject of jabs my company health lot want me to have the MMR as there are no NH records of me having the individual jabs some 50+ years ago!!!!!

Mrs C has had the full tissue box special for a couple of weeks and felt rubbish at times. I never get colds like that. I just feel a bit 85% and more tired than normal if I get a virus and that’s how it’s been for me.

The media are reporting a lot of colds and flu this year and most people I know have been affected. Grrr

Well my 87 year old mother has had every jab imaginable and just rang to say she’s got a chesty cold and won’t make it to ours tomorrow. I know it’s not the same, and I haven’t had any Jabs due to not getting round to it rather than some sort of protest against them.
Anyway Pavarotti on, second beer in and merry Christmas sir! Going on Friday, so need some prayers…

No problems, apart from the sore arm for a day or so.

You may have been about to come down with the flu anyway and it surfaced before the vaccine had got to work.

I had flu jab in one arm and Covid jab in the other at the same time, apart from a sore arm for a day or two no other side effects.

I had both jabs in the same arm last month, a bit tired the day after but no other ill effects.

You’ll be fine once the nanobots calm down. Def info.

It’s been an autumn of an annoyingly persistent cold/virus here too.

This is the first time I've been ill of any notable description since pre-covid.

Genuinely thought I'd sorted my life, health, diet, fitness and I was effectively immortal.

It's all come as a rather disappointing surprise...
