Anyone else listen to Gareth Southgate on Desert Island Discs this morning ? 11:49 - Dec 27 with 1013 viewsWeWereZombies

Came across as very grounded and unassuming, not blown away by his choices of music but at least our Ed got in, and a nice word for Bobby Robson too. Seemed noncommittal about what he does next and waiting for the right opportunity to come along. Obviously keeping an eye on when Kieran leaves us...

Gareth non-committal? Surely not?

I'm assuming he chose Crowded House, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran and not Butthole Surfers and Aphex Twin.

He did redeem himself a bit in my eyes with the final and favourite disc ~ Ludovico Einaudi (Phil and Gav will be along in a minute 'did someone say Audi ?') but The Carpenters, Bruce Hornsby and the Range, U2, Adele, Tears For Fears...None of it awful but no searing run down the wing, impossibly precise cross and glancing header into the top corner either.
