Certainly no lack of effort or desire, whatever comes of this season I’m so proud of the efforts of this group, I really am. We’re more than holding our own, we’re out performing the 2 we came up with despite them only having a 12 month hiatus from the premier league vs our 22 years. We’re broadly doing as well as established clubs like Everton and Wolves. We don’t have a right to be beating Spurs & Chelsea and matching Villa and Man United, or going to Fulham today and being disappointed with a point.

We’re improving as well, as McKenna said we would. We’re learning on the job, we’re staying competitive in games and grinding out points. We’ve got 7 points from our last 5, a 5 that includes Arsenal, Chelsea, a bang in form Newcastle and 2 tough trips to Fulham and Wolves. If we maintain that return for the last 18 games we will finish on 41 points. We’ve got a transfer window upon us where we’ve already made 1 really strong addition. A couple more including a #9, get Axel, Hirst & Hutchinson back fit, average a point a game over the next 3 and I do think we’ll have a proper go at the last 15 games.
