Poll: What was in Wes Burns' imaginary cup of tea ?

'Last won by Norwich, it has blue ribbons on it as it sits in my house. Sorry Budgies!'

Poor buggars - only thing they've ever won and they had to give it up for the lack of a trophy cabinet.

A modern term for them, I suppose, might be 'silver-free nomads', as their admirable determination never to win anything means they have no need to be stuck in one place, without the burdensome necessity of ownership of a trophy room.

No, I think the modern term is ’Trophies? Out Of Luck Sadly’.

So your suggesting Norwichs failure to win anything isn't due to them being a tinpot club based in a county known more for incest then football.
But a deliberate choice, made to allow them to carry on a nomadic lifestyle without the worry of having to own and maintain a trophy cabinet?

They've got a duplicate of the milk cup, haven't they?

It was known as The Milk Cup between 1982-1986. They won it in 1984/85. So why have they got 2 of them in their cabinet? Thinking nobody would notice?

They were runners up twice, I reckon they count that as an extra win.

They also won the League Cup in 1962 , top shelf centre.

The big clubs didn’t participate. They were in second division and best a third division team over r two legs in the final.

Taking off my blue tinted glasses for a few moments, would it not be true to admit that in the last 20 years they have got more trophies, a lot more trophies than we have? OK not proper trophies, like the FACup, the League or a European trophy, but they have won both league 1 and the Championship more time than us. In fact we didn’t win either.

That said, they’ll never win a proper trophy. We might not win another either, but at least we have 4 of them in the bag.

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

They can claim success from more top flight seasons and being above us in terms of league or derby performances , but those trophies are meaningless.

If they want to point to those trophies as a measure of greater success and celebrate them as a significant trophy, it's just tinpot.
