Before the game, the lower Cobbold where I sit was absolutely rammed with fans purely there to video the Citeh players warm up. Completely ignored our lads when they came on the pitch and spent god knows how long swooning and focussing entirely on the Citeh players. Honestly shocked me - if you are there to support Ipswich do that not the opposition! They probably don't remember the time they themselves were in league one and re-building. Maybe just me, but shows a lack of respect to our players

Yes overall that was the biggest issue today I felt too…

This time two years ago we lost 2-1 to Oxford in league one. Incredible how far we’ve come and I don’t think you can blame fans, particularly younger ones, for being excited about seeing world class players like Haaland and de Bruyne at Portman Road.

I'm very chilled but I don't get it when you are supposed to support Ipswich.

If it was the kids I'd get it - in fairness it was the middle aged group. The kids were too focused on the tiktoker or YouTuber whoever he was (I still don't have a clue but I suspect that shows my age).

So how does taking some photos of the best players in the world when we were losing to Oxford 2 years ago equate to not supporting your team?

Not ideal, but we’ve not exactly been used to the best players in the world playing at PR in the last 20 or so years.

Probably because they’ve never seen the likes of Haaland and Foden live before but saw those Ipswich players three days ago.

They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

First time since 2002 Man City have played at PR. That means the modern-day city have never visited and they are superstars. It's totally reasonable.

You act like Barry ‘Barry’ Bannan hasn’t graced the Portman road pitch.

I actually saw both Morsy and Walton in tears because our fans were videoing the city players, how could Town fans be so heartless.

Everyone caught recording opposition players should not only be banned, but thrashed in public with a silver birch branch.

The shame of it all.

If people could have done that to the likes of George Best back in the day, they would.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Watched some of the Leeds - Sheff Wed game at lunchtime, and they were still referring to Barry Bannan as Barry Bannan.
