Final 15 games 22:21 - Jan 25 with 3882 views | quirkie | I'm only seeing wins against Soton, Wolves and West Ham, and draws against Spurs, Forest, Brentford and Leicester. Total 29 pts. Always a chance I suppose of a shock win in the rest somewhere, but can't see if after last two games but then again always the chance we get nothing next week. Not going to be enough is it?

It depends whether you're looking at the points total for 17th or 18th.

Put it this way, if Everton had 27 points, would they have avoided relegation? So yes, 27 points would have been enough.

Final 15 games on 23:20 - Jan 25 with 2745 views | Chrisd | Let’s be fair, the teams in those bottom 4 positions aren’t great, it’s a toss up between us and Wolves for that last relegation spot now. Whom out of the two of us can be a little bit better than the other? I’m still convinced under 30pts will be enough to stay up. It’s a fine margin between us and Wolves, but who can be more consistent over the these last 15 games? It’s going to be a tight run thing. Frankly, if we don’t beat Southampton next then we deserve to get relegated. [Post edited 26 Jan 5:50]

Final 15 games on 23:22 - Jan 25 with 2721 views | Bigalhunter | It’s an utterly futile waste of energy trying to predict where future points will be picked up. I’d happily offer odds of 1000 to 1 against you being right, and that’s completely ripping you off. That’s the point though, isn’t it? Points will be dropped where they shouldn’t be, surprising points will be picked up where there is little or no expectation. We’ve taken 7 points off Chelsea, Villa & Spurs (just under 50% of our haul thus far) & sweet feck all from West Ham, Palace & Everton. Crazy sh*t starts to go down once the evenings get lighter and teams realise they aren’t getting into Europe or going down. Flip flops, Ambre Solaire and a potentially lucrative summer move start to come into play. That said, if Leicester beat Spurs tomorrow and we balls it up against Southampton, I do solemnly promise to melt down quicker than a cheap candle.

I agree. But I think the OP is is looking at 17th, and is therefore disagreeing.

Currently carving it up in the El Salvadoran top league. Carrying a bit of a knock, but worth a punt once he’s fit and over the jet lag. [Post edited 26 Jan 0:04]

Final 15 games on 00:02 - Jan 26 with 2317 views | Cafe_Newman | Most of the managers we've had in the last 15 years haven't been able to get Gummy Bears to gel but we've seen what KMck can do and he'll do it again with the players acquired this month. Why anyone would expect it to happen in just a week against City and Liverpool, I don't know. I still think we'll finish above 17th place, but it doesn't matter, 17th is just dandy.

17th would be dandier than a chap in a velvet smoking jacket and frilly fronted shirt, quaffing brandy in front of a roaring log fire. Then again, we’ve shipped 20 goals against Man City, Brentford & Liverpool in 7 hours of footy, so no chance. But we beat Chelsea and Spurs. But we couldn’t beat Leicester, Southampton, Palace or Everton. I feel a bit scared and I want to get off the rollercoaster…

Final 15 games on 00:42 - Jan 26 with 2076 views | mutters | It's absolutely impossible to say whether 29 points is enough. Every season is different, every season has different teams with different skills, plus when you factor in injuries, suspensions, luck.... Lots of very changeable factors All we can do is play each game and then see where we are. No point doom forecasting
