Would be delighted with that, thought he might've been one we went for last summer. Was excellent in both games, IIRC.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

No, no, no. Let's not panic buy now.

He's no better than Walton. Very good shot stopper but another who's indecisive with the ball at his feet.

I guess it depends on how much we trust Slicker. If Muric becomes unavailable is McKenna happy to have him in goal for the rest of the season? If not, we really do need to bring someone in.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

He'd be a massive upgrade on a crocked Walton and a Muric who appears to have his confidence and goalkeeping ability shot.

Given Walton is out for a while - seems logical to bring in another Keeper.

He is better than Walton.

Walton is injured and rarely makes a save.

He really wouldn't be a massive upgrade on Walton.

This would be a big mistake IMO. We need to be recruiting for a GK that's a level above Walton for next season, whether that's the Champ or PL.

But we also need to get something done today - if Walton out for 8-10 weeks then we can't ride Muric for that period with no alternative

So loan someone in. Don't buy someone on a 4 year deal who's not realistically going to improve us long term.

I said a crocked Walton, I can't see how we can rely on Muric for the remainder of the season so we need someone now.

Slicker will grab his chance in much the same way Richard Wright did. No need to panic buy.

So? You can loan from outside the PL.

Yep, I'm in total agreement there, but buying Palmer isn't a measured, long-term move IMO. A good Championship keeper with little ceiling to improve - and nowhere near the distribution level required for McKennaball.

It's too late surely to get someone in from abroad, who can get deal done today, who can settle in and communicate properly from day 1 etc.

If Palmer ends up as a long term number 2 here after doing well this season then it's job well and truly done

Its a shame Fiorentina arent in need of cash.

De Gea out of contract at the end of this season.

This signing looks as though, McKenna's comments from Saturday show he isn't comfortable with Muric.

Might look harsh on Slicker, but even harsher to drop him into the PL relegation fight which might do more damage

£2m is nothing really. At the moment Muric's confidence is shot so most keeper's will be an upgrade.

And what if we go down? We have the same issue of two keepers of similar levels, with no defined #1.

I don't like this deal one bit, and is the first smell of a panic buy to me. Obviously prepared to be pleasantly surprised, but his distribution is definitely not an improvement on Walton. That has to be our prerequisite surely?

I also assume we as we are taking the No.1 from last season and this for West Brom, he would be a contender to start in the PL

That was 1995.

Is Slicker really ready to play in the Premier League if he wasn't ready for the Championship last season?

Wrong, the limit is from other English clubs. So we'd need to look abroad, not EFL
