Coventry XI? 12:59 - Feb 5 with 3130 views | gsoly | Quiet week so let's get this one rolling. I'd hope we will see less than the usual 11 changes. Palmer Godfrey-Wolfy-Greaves-Townsend Phillips-Taylor Philogene-Enciso-Clarke Hirst Palmer a no brainer. Possibly harsh on Burgess but I think Greaves could do with a consistent run. Clear that Philogene needs games and I wonder if Enciso also falls into that camp. I also just want to see more of him, fella's a superstar. Any other predictions?

Coventry XI? on 13:19 - Feb 5 with 3032 views | Jrm_72 | Enciso is cup tied, scored against the budgies in last round... Not far off on rest Id say, maybe burgess in there more likely. Guess depends if Chappers or Szmodics are back. If not, might suggest Taylor in 10 and Luongo in CM

It’ll only offer confidence if we won Imagine losing or getting injuries ? Nah ..need changes IMHO

...we are hardly rushed off our feet with matches. We need to start working on some relationships. The CBs need to be a partnership, so do both the flanks, so does the CM. Play the 1st choice (wherever possible) and then take them off in the second half if we can.

Coventry XI? on 13:51 - Feb 5 with 2858 views | JakeITFC | Palmer Godfrey Woolfenden Burgess Townsend Phillips Luongo Philogene Broadhead Clarke Hirst Having one of the attacking midfielders back like Chaplin or Szmodics would be good to give Broadhead a sub at 60 mins as the rest probably need the minutes. I think it's essential that we get some rest in the legs of Davis, Omari and Delap. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Coventry XI? on 18:00 - Feb 5 with 2267 views | pointofblue | If Palmer's in goal I would go first choice defence. I also think Phillips and Cajuste should be given more time in the centre of midfield. Hutchinson and Philogene need time to adjust and build confidence. Only player who should be rested is Delap. Saying that, it's harsh on those who got us up last year not to get game time here. I personally prefer three at the back and feel Woolfenden is required so my preference would be... Palmer O'Shea - Woolfenden - Greaves Godfrey - Phillips - Cajuste - Davis Hutchinson - Philogene Hirst With Enciso, Broadhead and Delap coming in for the Villa game.

You've also got a squad of 25+ players to maintain and they are all chomping at the bit to play. Our fringe players need minutes and they are more than good enough to play against Championship opposition. Added to that the Delap/ Hutch/ O'Shea/ Cajuste need a break and this is the perfect opportunity to make changes. Playing a first XI would be madness IMO.
Coventry XI? on 15:28 - Feb 6 with 1802 views | Alberto_the_frog | 9 of the starters from the 3rd round are still available, so may well go again as our "cup team". The other 2 were Burns and Al Hamadi, who were replaced during the game by Johnson and Hirst. That might make up the 11. Options are to give Philogene and Palmer time on the green stuff.
Coventry XI? on 15:42 - Feb 6 with 1762 views | itfcjoe | I imagine we'll see a fully changed side - think you have to to keep squad players fresh and almost a bit of a 'social contract' between the club and the subs that they get these games: Palmer Godfrey-Woolfie-Burgess-Towsend Phillips-Taylor Johnson-Philogene-Clarke Hirst

Exactly. Play the best team we can and win a game of football, also put the players in their best roles and nothing clever, just all out attack for 90 mins. There is no reason we cannot get to the 1/4 final here with a bit of luck, especially if we are going to get pumped every week in the PL makes that bit less tedious. COME ON TOWN.
Coventry XI? on 17:31 - Feb 6 with 1534 views | E_I_E_I_E_I_O | The main reason we have struggled all season is not have a settled side and building partnerships etc....I don't think he will but with a 2 week league break this seems a perfect opportunity to play the strongest team to help develop these for the remainder of the season. Obviously with the exception of Enciso.
Coventry XI? on 17:33 - Feb 6 with 1523 views | SomethingBlue | Strong as we possibly can, preferably – let's roll the big guns out and get them winning games. It's also an opportunity: win on Saturday and you're a decent draw from the quarter-finals. Remarkable things have happened under KM so far ... why not a few more?

Coventry XI? on 17:36 - Feb 6 with 1513 views | jayessess | I'd prefer to see us just put out whatever we see as the first team. We've won four games all season, I could do with something to be cheerful about.

Coventry XI? on 20:19 - Feb 6 with 1268 views | Stenvict | Play the 1st team unless they need a rest. For example, rest Cajuste if it means he can play the majority of next weeks game. Hirst could probably do with a start. Other than those 2, there should be no excuses.

Not far out with this Palmer and Taylor instead of Muric and Luongo. Jayden and Hirst the replacements.
