So Maddison gets brought down, first 4 mins of the spurs game 16:37 - Feb 16 with 1553 viewsghostofescobar

At least as bad a challenge, probably worse, than tuenzebe’s 2nd yellow yesterday, nothing, just a free kick. Not as close to goal, admittedly, but no consistency.

Are we going to have this all weekend?

It was a bad decision, but we have to move on.

We got a point away to a side in the CL. Let it go.

People need to get the word consistency out of their heads. It's the most overused word when discussing referees and it's just becoming a buzz word.

You literally wrote it in the same sentence, 'not as close to goal' - therefore you can't claim a lack of consistency, because the two incidents were different.

Victim culture.
Pretending to be the victims, claiming that THEY're out to get you.
It worked for Forest 'cos they moaned like Billy'O last season.
Look where they are now.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

The refs are poor, no doubt about it. Another example would be Jota’s dive in the box this afternoon. The VAR did their job by drawing the ref’s attention to it, ref goes to the screen for several looks. Realises there was no contact and reverses his decision. All good and working as intended. And then for some reason doesn’t card Jota for the simulation that was the basis for him reversing his decision.

They’re a bit inconsistent and a bit sh*t.

That’s probably got more to do with them breaking P&S rules and spending about £400m on their squad.

Agree with you, the officiating is dire. Its very easy to say 'move on' but when you're paying a lot of money to travel around the country to games and the referees fook up the spectacle with soft cards like we saw on Saturday its perfectly understandable to resent it.

Ultimately the refs & VAR probably wont be the reason we finish where we do this season, but we've been on the wrong end of some absolutely honking decisions.
