Genuinely, I was just trying to offer advice and explain how it works for the guy- I tried to make it clear to him that while he may not have done anything ‘wrong’ it will have been actioned off the back of something he’s done, even if it’s innocuous and innocent and is just essentially a misread by AI- meaning there will be a way of recovering it, if he can get through to a person at META- the easiest and quickest way being to sign up to their paid service temporarily.
Rarely is one infraction enough to get you blocked from accessing your account but all will be listed by META and the ‘account status’ can be corrected if there has been errors, it’s just a pain in the arse to get through to anyone!
Seems the nuance between ‘doing something wrong’ and ‘something you’ve done’ has been lost in communication, but I’m not trolling.
I use Instagram and other META products everyday for my work and thought it would be helpful. Once I saw Dolly getting frustrated I just withdrew from communicating with him as I’m not interested in conflict. |

Yes, that's exactly what you do - you have to provide ID when applying and you will then prove you access to the email address your blocked META account is under.

My posting on insta was nothing remotely like my posting on here, given that that's an image/film clip posting site and this is a football discussion forum. I've never even posted anything political on there, it was mostly photos from nature walks (because of their filters). |
I’ll hazard a guess that some nature photos, eg of plants, could be interpreted by bots as parts of human reproductive organs?!
Once had a warning notice on my twitter account because it was in the name of my then 8 year old dog (which was clear on the bio, but not to a bot apparently), that he had posted something inappropriate to his age 😂
Have the opposite problem to you on Instagram. Joined a week ago looking for a childhood friend, and now can’t delete the damn thing.

Yep, it is indeed annoying. I have a photo of my dad being shorter than his sunflowers that is only on insta, which I've now seemingly lost. He's about to die in the next fews hours, so yeah little things like that are annoying/a real shame (and goes to show one shouldn't rely on saving things virtually). |

Libs has tried to be helpful but has also insinuated I've done something wrong, I'm just being clear that I haven't. This discussion has nothing to do with you so why are you yet again trying to bait me? When you tried this before I mentioned that I'm going through a tough time at the moment with my dad dying and asked you to be a bit more understanding. We had a call last night that he's gone considerably downhill and we literally have hours left now. TWTD is a great break from everything for me at the moment, but unfortunately not from you.
