If we win tomorrow and Saturday it’s only a 6 point gap with 21 to play for?

Which is ok seeing as we are going to win the last 4 games.

It’s gonna be tight. I think it all depends on Wolves final game of the season.

It's well after mid-day, and you can't possibly be serious.

We could half the gap by Saturday and still be 6 points from safety. It would take us winning back-to-back games from nowhere.

We could also be 15 points from safety on Saturday night.

I think we will likely remain 12 points from safety but it would be nice to get a win from somewhere.

This is true and should be all the motivation the team needs to get as many points as possible. Even the extra place is financially an incentive too.

It seems unlikely right now bit will be entirely plausible if we win tomorrow night

Admire the optimism.

But, the gap far more likely to be 15 points by close of play Saturday.

Over the last 10 games we've achieved less points than Leicester and Southampton (admittedly we gave them their 3).

I think there's more chance of us finishing bottom than there is 17th - but if we can find a win or two from somewhere 18th might just be doable.

It at least gives us something to play for, clutching at straws re City but let's just do what we can do..

On that basis Wolves will have 24 points to play for.

Love it mate.
Think we have to accept that we are on the downward part of the longer upward trajectory. We all know what the graph looks like. That's what I keep telling myself.

Bearing in mind we accumulated 96 points last season we will have our work cut out to replicate that next season. I firmly believe despite that trajectory we all hope we are on, next season is far from a done deal. Those that believe it is may be rudely awakened or more likely become disillusioned and be part of the toxicity that the inevitable ups and downs will fire up in people. An expectation that could ultimately be our downfall.

On The Overlap yesterday, Kieran Maguire talking about the Man City investigation and likely punishment, he’s predicting between 40 and 80 points. Also reflects on the risk of not having the punishment in place soon enough, leading to Ipswich or Leicester (depending on who just misses out on safety) engaging in a legal claim.

Ok its down to a 9 point gap again but we must remember that wolves have aq far better goal difference which is worth another point.

Which is why we’ll beat them 15 nil.
