In the 30+ years I've been watching us, only 2000-01 surpassed 2023-24 in terms of how it felt. There's nothing we could do next season which would match back-to-back promotions after two decades in the wilderness.

The prem was as rubbish as I thought it would be,
but a useful season, we have built up the finacial reserves needed, have seen how short we are, but now have the knowledge and resources to build a team that can compete ,a far more interesting challenge and one we can win. |  | | |
