Undisclosed fee 21:24 - Jun 4 with 1425 views | urbanpenguin | Why would a transfer, especially one like this, be an "undisclosed fee"? Everybody in the football and finance world knows what the cost is, it's hardly a secret, so what's the purpose of hiding it behind such a silly phrase? I presume something to do with Chelsea's weird accounting?

I presume that's a PSR thing too. To cover debt this accounting year but feed into the next one? [Post edited 4 Jun 21:52]

I can't imagine it makes a difference if its guaranteed (which it is) rather than potential future revenues through 'add ons'. PSR calcs are largely about profitability which is recognised when its earned. Effectively accrual accounting, not cash accounting. The phasing of the cash flows won't impact that.

Yes, the previous record sale, and record profit, was Tyrone Mings for reportedly around £8M.

Yeah but not for long. Muric to PSG £40m. Def info.

The fee for Muric was reportedly more than the profit we made on Delap. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I would have guessed Wickham but he probably didn't trigger many of his add-ons!

I find it funny that many want us to take 'cheaper punts' on players abroad etc, punts which I imagine will still cost around what we paid for Muric, or a little more, and yet many cannot help themselves bringing it up constantly. I dread to think what they would be like if we do decide to buy in a few foreign risks, and some inevitably fail.

Not unless we included a future fee for when he hit 200 injury days!
