Perhaps we’ve seen it elsewhere with them wearing the colours of a different team ie Jack Clarke etc but we’ve not yet seen their true potential in a Town shirt
Could it be (dare I say Muric) finding some Burnley form
Possibly Ben Johnson making RWB his own
Maybe it will Jack Clarke with his Sunderland form
It might be George Hirst stepping in from the shadows of LD
Cam Humphreys or maybe Jack Taylor in misfield

100% agree with your opening statement.
The only reason a back five of Palmer, Johnson, O'Shea, Greaves and Davis isn't the filthiest thing you'll see on paper next year is because going forward we have the opportunity to pick four from Hutchinson, J Clarke, Philogene, Szmodics, Hirst, Chaplin, Broadhead and Ogbene (plus the bonus of Burns to be back in 2026).
Even if Hutchinson leaves, that is ridiculous for Championship level.
Which means the only surprise can come from either Humphreys or Taylor stepping up and bossing midfield (probably unlikely) or whatever new signings we make between now and deadline day. |  | | |

The same way people underestimated the jump to the PL, a lot of our fans seem to have forgotten the level of the Championship in my opinion.
Muric won't get the chance (maybe rightfully so) but if he did he'd be the best keeper in the league.
Ben Johnson for me... he's played those PL games for a reason and seemed to grow as last season went on. I still worry about his fit in the system but if afforded the chance he'll be an immense right back at this level. | | | |
