Just watching some videos of him now, press resistant and phenomenal off the ball. 2 good feet

Backed up with his stats it's pretty elite defensive midfielder

He's definitely got a touch of the N'Golo Kante's about him.

Must be something in it, it's a too random switch to be made up
Would be a good signing by the looks of him

I know absolutely nothing about this guy but 'stylistically' he's exactly what we've missed for literally years.

thought Ashton said we wanted to sign physical players and yet hes 5"6.

5'8" I think, was one of my first thoughts too, but he has a great low centre of gravity and if you watch videos of him he's very good at levering bigger players off the ball using that attribute. You don't expect that many aerial challenges in that area either.

Meant midfielder as per the story, typed winger for some reason. Amended.

And who is the winger on your mind? Out of pure curiosity……

I resisted the temptation to make that comparison, but looking at his style its exactly what we've lacked for a long time if he has anything like the engine of N'Golo.

Physicality isn't all about being 6ft 6.

that is the only explanation - and if it is a Dutch winger, it must be a Crysencio Summerville swap with Omari

Can see why you’ve been exiled with suggestions like that….

Ridiculously I have seen him play a fair few times, he was in the team when Will Still started trending so started following them a little closer in 22/23 season - ironically when I first saw/noticed Jens Cajuste who was also there.

Was part of a really good Stade De Reims team, that went 16/17 games unbeaten that year, including J.Ito, Balogun, Cajuste, Agbadou (Now at Wolves), and was the ever present partner with Marshall Munetsi who went to Wolves in January.

You would liken his style to that of N'Golo Kante (obviously not comparing the levels), but he's diminutive, but a good ball winner, ball player and covers ground so so well.

Unbelievable to be honest if he comes here.

This is why we should always have an orange away shirt just in case we sign a Dutch player.

Truly impaired.

Having watched one of those highlight videos, seems like a Dutch Morsy. Some lovely passing and interceptions.

Literally no idea where that came from. Wasn't looking at any other player or target, fingers just typed winger. Probably still used to following 'Dutch' with 'winger' from the Bobby Petta and Gus Uhlenbeek days.

Apparently when he was at Ajax they used to call him "the Dutch Kante"

Works for me

His aerial win percentage according to FBRef is 87th percentile across all DMs so his height is either wrong online or he's brilliant in there for a littler guy

What colour are the shorts? Herbi wants to know so he can get matching pegs for his tent.

Everywhere I look I see 5'8 or shorter...

I mean Mane was 5'9 and one of the best headers of a ball I have ever seen. So perhaps he just has springs on.

Ngolo Kante was no bigger than 5'6 and is one of the best ball winning midfielders of all time. He was pretty intimidating.

There are more ways to show strength and power than just being tall.

Exactly, I would count Omari as being a Physical player despite his diminutive stature.

Wow.

If this is the level of player we are chasing, it explains why deals may take a while. Very excited for this one.
