The other thing is where would he go on loan and be guaranteed regular pitch time? He can be cover at left back as well as CM. Does he use up a squad place or is he under the age to do so?
He needs to be playing regularly but I wonder if he could get more pitch time with us than people expect. I would imagine how he does this preseason goes a long way to making McKenna's mind up on his role for the season ahead. Quite possibly a pivotal point in his career. |

I think with both Humphreys and Taylor this is a make or break season another loan season for Humphreys seems pointless and Taylor has had a good two seasons to make an impact and hasn't managed to cut the mustard in either the Championship or the Premier League.
With Morsy and Loungo both gone and Cajuste and Phillips also gone that's one in and four out and a season ahead with more games therefore more chances of injuries or a greater need to rotate.
Both seasons in the 1st Division and Championship we were able to bring players on as subs that made a real impact, our squad quality wise is higher but if Omari goes we don't currently have the depth without several more incoming. | | | |
