Seems the WSJ is claiming they have a letter written by Trump to Epstein on his 50th birthday.

Trump obviously denying it's from him but I would have thought the WSJ would have thoroughly checked that before publishing.

I really don't see any of this going anywhere or having a material effect on Trump's position.
If any images ever surface, he’ll just dismiss them as AI fakes. And if this letter exists, it doesn’t prove much. There's more than enough plausible deniability baked in - they could be talking about anything. And while right-thinking people like you and I can read between the lines, we’re not exactly his base.
The Dems are in disarray so there's nobody to prosecute this so to speak either. And Republicans won't speak up en masse because what's the point - he won't be there in 3 years so the path of least resistance is just to do nothing. [Post edited 18 Jul 10:22]

Fox, Rogan, Tucker Carlson or similar rolling over on him I could imagine might have some impact but as you say, nothing has stuck so far and I can't see much of an incentive for them to do so given they rely on his base for viewing numbers.

There is no way they get rid of Trump, he is just the MAGA movement and can smooth over anything - it's just how wide the divide is between the warring factions when he goes in 2028 and whether any one can bring that party together.

There is to me a certain irony in Democrats finding common cause with MAGA and QAnon conspiracy theorists.
Leaving aside the fact that Trump may be self-destructing in terms of personal polling, the answer is to come forward with policies to defeat him, and anyone who stands on a similar platform, something which doesn't seem to be taking place.

Had a fairly poor record in California with certain polices like bail reform, tax hikes caused an exodus of residents and business to Texas and so forth. Also CA completely botched a ridiculously expensive high speed rail line between LA and SF. Post covid he has fairly unfavorable numbers with skyrocketing crime and homelessness. That wasn’t unique to Cali though.
